📚 How to Use This

1. Set your account size — use real or paper amount
2. Set risk % — 1% is standard for beginners
3. Find entry + stop — mark these on your chart FIRST
4. The calc tells you shares — never guess position size
5. Check R:R — only take trades with 1:2 minimum

Formula:
Shares = (Account × Risk%) ÷ (Entry − Stop)
R:R = (Target − Entry) ÷ (Entry − Stop)

⚙️ Strategy Scanner & Portfolio Simulator
    ⚙️ Strategy Scanner?
📘 How to use the Strategy Scanner
    1. Add tickers to your watchlist (sidebar), then tap Use Watchlist — or pick any symbol from the dropdown.
    2. Choose the setup you're stalking (breakout, pullback, reversal, momentum) and a long or short bias.
    3. Enter your Trigger (the price that confirms your entry) and Stop (the price that proves the idea wrong). Target and relative volume are optional.
    4. Tap Save Rule — one rule is saved per symbol, and it stays saved between visits.
    5. Tap Run Scan any time: every saved rule is checked against the latest price and flagged ✅ Triggered · 👀 Near trigger · 🚀 Extended · ❌ Invalidated.

💡 Live prices need your free Finnhub API key (set once in the Live News tab). No key? Type a price in "Manual Last Price" and the scan uses that instead.

    No scan run yet.
    💼 Portfolio Simulator?
📘 How to use the Portfolio Simulator

A practice portfolio that lives only in this browser — no real money, no broker connection.

    1. You start with $10,000 of simulated cash.
    2. Type a symbol and share quantity, and choose Buy or Sell.
    3. Leave Price blank to fill at the live quote (needs your Finnhub key), or type your own fill price.
    4. Tap Place — cash, open positions, and realized P&L update instantly.
    5. Sell shares you hold to lock in profit or loss. Reset starts you over at $10,000.

💡 Use it with the Position Calc: size the trade there first, then rehearse it here before risking real money.

This was fixed on July 10, 2026 — the app now uses a registration that has https://tradehub-sooty.vercel.app/ registered. If you still see the error:

🌅 Today — Your Morning Home Base

    📊 Dashboard Cards

The top row tracks market status, today's P&L, your 90-day challenge, all-time P&L, streak, and daily max loss.

    1. Set a daily max loss (tap the Max Loss card) — it turns red when today's journal losses reach it. That's your signal to stop trading.
    2. Open My Trading Rules and write one rule per line (e.g. "No trades in the first 15 minutes"). They show on Today as daily reminders.
    3. Work through the pre-market checklist each morning before the open.
P&L and streak cards read from the P&L Journal — they only know about trades you log there.

    🔎 Strategy Scanner

Watches your watchlist symbols against rules you define, so you don't stare at quotes all day.

    1. Tap Use Watchlist to load your symbols into the scanner.
    2. Pick a Symbol, then choose the Setup type (breakout, pullback, reversal, momentum) and Bias (long/short).
    3. Enter your levels: Trigger (entry), Stop (invalidation), Target (profit), and optionally a minimum Relative Volume.
    4. Tap Save Rule. Repeat for each symbol you're stalking.
    5. Hit Scan — each symbol comes back Triggered, Near trigger, Extended, or Invalidated.
    6. No Finnhub key? Type a Manual Last Price and the scanner evaluates against that instead.

    💼 Portfolio Simulator

A practice portfolio with fake money — test ideas with zero risk.

    1. You start with $10,000 simulated cash (adjustable).
    2. Enter a symbol, share count, and price, then place a Buy — the position appears with live unrealized P&L (marked to market via Finnhub).
    3. Sell to close and the realized P&L is banked to your simulated balance.
    4. Reset any time — nothing here is real money.
Use it to rehearse the same setups you save in the scanner: when a rule fires "Triggered," place the simulated order and manage it.
    📈 Trade Menu

    📊 Charts + RSI Simulator

Full TradingView charts plus a built-in RSI strategy visualizer.

    1. Type a symbol, tap Load, and switch timeframes with the interval buttons (1m–1D).
    2. Click any watchlist ticker to jump straight to its chart.
    3. Toggle the RSI Simulator to watch an oversold/overbought RSI strategy trade a synthetic chart — drag the sliders to change the RSI thresholds and see how win rate and P&L respond.

    🧮 Position Size Calculator

Answers "how many shares?" so a single stop-out never costs more than you planned.

    1. Enter your account size and risk % per trade (1% is a common start).
    2. Enter your planned entry and stop price.
    3. Read off the share count and total position size.
    Example: $10,000 account, 1% risk = $100. Entry $50.00, stop $49.50 → $0.50 risk/share → 200 shares max.

    📓 P&L Journal

The heart of the app — log every real trade here.

    1. After each trade, fill the entry form: symbol, direction, size, entry/exit, setup type, and notes on what you saw.
    2. Watch the stat cards, equity curve, and per-setup breakdown update — they show which setups actually make you money.
    3. Filter and review weekly: your best and worst patterns are usually obvious within 20 logged trades.
The Today dashboard streak, daily P&L, and max-loss warning all read from this journal.

    🎯 Paper Trade — 90-Day Challenge

A structured discipline tracker: 90 days of practice before real size.

    1. At the end of each trading day, log whether the day was a win or loss.
    2. Check the "did you follow your rules?" boxes honestly — a green (rules-followed) losing day is better than a lucky rule-breaking win.
    3. Watch the 90-day calendar fill in. Consistency of process is the goal, not P&L.

    🔬 Pattern Lab

Three tools that teach rule-based setups on synthetic charts — no API key needed.

    1. Detector: tap 🎲 New Chart and the engine marks every setup that passes real bot rules (EMA-20 breaks/bounces, 3-bar reversals, flat-top breakouts). Click a detection to highlight it. Many charts show nothing — that's the lesson: most bars aren't tradeable.
    2. Trainer: a setup may have just fired on the last bar (marked ▲). Pick which pattern you see — or "No clean setup." You get the rule-by-rule explanation either way, and your accuracy/streak are saved.
    3. Backtester: choose patterns, chart count, and a target in R-multiples, then ▶ Run. Study how win rate, average R, profit factor, and drawdown interact — e.g. a 35% win rate can be profitable at 2R+.

    3. Take timestamped study notes below the player — they're saved per video.

    📚 Study — Reference, Quiz & Flashcards

    1. Reference: browse the strategy write-ups, glossary, and EVM-style cheat sheets by category.
    2. Quiz: Quick Quiz = 10 random questions. Timed Exam = 25 questions with a 30-second clock each. Category Quiz runs all 25 questions in one topic (200-question bank, 25 per category).
    3. Weak Spots re-drills whatever categories you score lowest in — check it weekly.
    4. Flashcards: tap to flip, mark cards known to shrink the deck over time.
    5. Signed in (or with a Claude key): generate fresh AI questions on any topic you type.

    📁 Library

Browse your trading videos and documents right inside the app — two ways:

    1. Microsoft sign-in (OneDrive): tap Sign in with Microsoft and use your personal Microsoft account (the one that owns the OneDrive) — not a work account.
    2. First time only: accept the consent screen asking to read your files.
    3. Your OneDrive folders appear — navigate with the breadcrumbs, click videos/docs to open them.
    4. Or Connect Local Folder: works offline, no sign-in — pick a folder on this computer (Chrome/Edge only). Re-pick it after a browser restart.
    🤖 Bot

    🤖 Bot Builder

Generates starter Python code for trading automation — a scaffold to learn from, not a finished bot.

    1. Pick your broker style, ticker, timeframe, and signal type (RSI, VWAP, EMA cross, or opening-range breakout).
    2. Set risk per trade and trailing-stop percentages.
    3. Optional: add a Telegram bot token + chat ID to get trade alerts on your phone.
    4. Tap ⚡ Generate Code, then use the output tabs to copy the main scaffold, Telegram helper, error handling, and trailing-stop debugger.
Never run generated code with real money until you've read every line and paper-traded it for weeks. Automation multiplies mistakes as fast as profits.
    🔑 API Keys & Troubleshooting

    🔑 The Three Optional Keys

All free tiers, all stored only in your browser (never in the code):

    1. Finnhub (finnhub.io/register) — live news, earnings, and quotes for the scanner + simulator.
    2. Anthropic / Claude (console.anthropic.com) — AI news briefs and AI quiz generation. Not needed if you sign in — signed-in users go through TradeLab's own server.
    3. YouTube Data v3 (console.cloud.google.com) — loads Classroom playlists.

    🛠 Troubleshooting

    1. App looks outdated on phone/tablet: close the installed app fully and reopen it twice while online — it self-updates. Still stale? Uninstall and re-add from tradehub-sooty.vercel.app.
    2. OneDrive sign-in fails: make sure you picked your personal Microsoft account, not a work/school one, and accepted the consent screen.
    3. Quotes stop updating: Finnhub's free tier allows 60 calls/minute — a very large watchlist can hit the limit; wait a minute and rescan.
    4. Data missing on another device: sign in on both devices — local-only data doesn't travel without an account.
    5. Clearing browser data erases the local copy of everything; signed-in data restores on next sign-in.
